Large Sphere EcoSphere (6. 5″ diameter) with 4″ LED lighted base. This fascinating enclosed world incorporates 12 to 13 marine shrimp, algae and micro-organisms. Produced from hand blown glass, each and every EcoSphere is an absolutely enclosed, self-sustaining little world. The EcoSphere only needs indirect light and comfortable room temperature (between 60F and 80F. ) The EcoSphere works on the basis that a closed system recycles its nutrients and does not produce excess waste. The shrimp consume the algae and micro-organisms they usually, in turn, break down the shrimp waste. External light, either artificial or natural, assists in keeping the algae growing. There’s no feeding or water changes required. This EcoSphere comes with a Silver 4″ LED base. The LED base is a non-rotating lighted display base for the EcoSphere that may be powered by a wall outlet, USB connection, or 3 AAA batteries (not included). The LED will also be changed to four different colors on a slow or fast pulse; or set to a particular color. The algae in the EcoSphere may overgrow if the LED base is left on for too long.
